It’s Curry O’Clock time again

I find this time of year, especially in the UK I need to search for warming soul food which hits the spot.  I’ve just recently bought a slow cooker, as our kits are apparently thrown into them and then, hours later the perfect pot of curry is magically produced.

For me cooking a curry means that I stay in the kitchen occasionally stirring the pot and obviously testing the food as I go along!!

This however will no longer be!  I’m struggling to get my head around the fact that this part of my life has become redundant and I’m not sure what to think.  Obviously we are all time poor but isn’t one of the most comforting things about the dark nights looming is that the stove is on and you are keeping warm knowing what’s to come?

On a positive note though, gone are the days where I forget about the curry on the hob and return to an inch thick black layer of solid smelly mess stuck to the bottom of the pan.

Top Tip learnt from mother, without scrapping transfer the top of the curry into another pan.  The dogs enjoy the treat of the burnt curry which is soaked in a bit of water for their next meal.

Clocks go back this weekend, stock up with your kits and let us know how your make your curry creation.
